Definitely follow the blogs on my blogroll. Subscribe to MarketingSherpa's email newsletter. I would also recommend the book Radically Transparent: Monitoring and Managing Reputations Online. This book is a good read for business people who are just stepping into social spaces online or who need to understand the business case fro social media marketing.

I'd also add to that list Chris Brogan's blog and HubSpot.

Brogan, BTW, presented an excellent Webinar called "How to Demonstrate the Value of Social Media to Your Boss" yesterday. The recording and slides can be found here.

I can see from your blog bio that you are not local, so I guess you won't be heading across the pond to the annual Texas e-Marketing Summit held each October as part of the Innotech conference. But perhaps you might be here for 2010 SXSWi?

I attended the February Austin Photographer's Group meeting and felt it was a great opportunity to meet fellow creative types of all skill levels. The best part of the evening was Amy's presentation on Portfolios. I was able to meet a few people I feel I can become friends with and share a goal of becoming a better artist.

Thanks for the write up. You make really great points -- a lot of which I hadn’t even thought of before -- but were probably floating in the back of my mind when I wrote the blog post. I got inspired from reading peoples’ emails to us of why they used Carbonmade and how much they liked it, so I thought I’d throw a feeler out there to hear from others. We love hearing these stories and it makes our day far better than posting good numbers. Again, thanks for mention!
